Extend all features available for non-SB events (i.e. events that don't belong to a group calendar)

Previously, under the "All events" section users would see a list of all events created within SupporterBase and outside of SupporterBase (ie via your main nation). However, those events not created in SupporterBase would only offer a link to the public facing event page. 

We have now added support for events not initially created in SupporterBase, so that admins can edit them and view RSVPs.

Clear reminders to ask leaders to add a valid phone number to their profile

We made it easier for leaders to identify whether they have a valid mobile / cell number connected to SupporterBase. When a call is made, SupporterBase first dials in the leader then contacts the supporter. This calling process will fail if the leader themselves does not have a valid number, although previously it may have not been obvious to leaders why a call failed. To resolve this, all calling buttons in SupporterBase will be disabled if the leader does not have a valid mobile, and they will see a popover that explains “Please enter a valid phone number on your profile in order to enable all calling features”, with a link to where that can be updated.

Improved domain verification and review process

We have updated our domain verification and review processes, so that so that if you or your organisation make any changes to your domain that inadvertently affect your SupporterBase (ie deliverability of emails via SendGrid), that will now automatically be flagged.

Add a "primary contact" configuration to every SupporterBase instance

We added a primary contact option for all SupporterBases. Occasionally we need to send out automated messages / alerts requiring your action (ie to rectify any issues that may arise regarding domain connections, calendar pages etc). If you would like to nominate your preferred contact email (s), you can do that under Settings > Configurations > “Primary contact emails”.

View and sort by "joined_at" date on supporter profiles

For each supporter profile leaders can now see when the supporter was first added to your organisation's nation ("Supporter since XXXX") and when they first joined the specific SupporterBase group ("Group member since XXXX"). 

You can also sort by most / least recent to join the group, using the "joined at" sorting option at the top of the supporter group display. 

This is useful for identifying your newest volunteers and group members - who may need extra attention and onboarding.

Ability for individual users to switch between languages

We added a simple configuration to allow each user to switch between languages (rather than just having us set the default language for the entire SupporterBase).

This is useful for transnational organisations and/or organisations working across multilingual communities and countries. Currently only English and Italian are offered by default, but let us know if you would like to add your language!

Extra data fields in supporter profiles on group and event pages

We made it possible for leaders to see additional data on individual supporter profiles, including date of birth and occupation. Admins can select whether they want this data shown on profiles under Settings > Configurations.

Fix: supporter merge issue

There was an issue where supporters who had profiles that had been merged in NationBuilder were creating duplicate supporter records in SupporterBase. This has now been resolved.
