"Last contacted" bug fixed

There was an issue where the "last contacted at" filter within the group display was not correctly ordering supporters according to their most recent contact. This has now been resolved.

Improvements to email blast page efficiency

We improved the efficiency of the main “Email blasts” page display, which was experiencing slower load times for organisations with a large number of groups and email blasts.

improvement

SMS blast cost management

To help leaders better manage costs associated with large SMS blasts, we added to the SMS blast creation form a quick note explaining how SMS segments work, including a tool to help leaders calculate the expected budget impact of their draft SMS (based on a total character count and number of segments).

Updates to call buttons

We made an update to ensure all call buttons are disabled if the logged-in leader/admin does not have a valid phone number saved on their profile. We already ensured call buttons were disabled if the supporter did not have a valid phone number stored in the database - this change just means we now also alert leaders/admins if they need to enter their own phone number before starting calls.

New feature: ability to update supporter names

We added the ability for admins and captains (but not vice-captains) to update supporter names, which is particularly useful to extend existing data with surnames and make sure you’re using the preferred name for each of your supporters.

In good news for our international friends, we can now offer SupporterBase in your language. If this is something you are interested in, just let us know.

Analytics

We are excited to be launching the first phase of our analytics capability in SupporterBase! Now admins can see activity data across their entire SupporterBase, filtered by their chosen time period (Just head to “Group Analytics” in the top nav of the main supporter groups page - e.g. here in the Demo SupporterBase). To see a full breakdown of this data by group, choose the option to export the data as a CSV. We know this has been a top priority for some of you, so please let us know what you think. We plan to improve this feature over time (including an upcoming extension for more group-specific analytics, which will be available to captains and vice-captains as well as admins), so we definitely welcome any feedback to help shape the future direction of analytics in SupporterBase.

new feature

New configuration option that allows captains to edit supporter data

If activated, this configuration option allows captains and vice-captains to edit support email addresses and phone numbers in the groups they lead. They will only see masked versions of these data values unless the option within Configurations to show emails or phone numbers is also enabled.

improvement

You can now make calls to home phone numbers as well as mobiles

You can now call both mobile numbers and home phone numbers for supporters. This is useful for organisations that may have data quality issues (ie where mobile numbers have ended up saved in the home phone number field in NationBuilder), or who have separate valid mobile and home numbers and want to be able to contact people via both.

Mobile numbers will always be contacted first, but valid home phone numbers will be used as a fallback option.

New configuration option to show all tags for supporters

We added the ability for admins to choose whether they want all tags associated with supporters to be displayed to all group leaders. Some organisations have requested this to help add further background for leaders when engaging with supporters. You can find that option under Settings > Configurations > "Show all tags on supporter profiles".
