Postcodes displayed for all supporters

Previously, "City / suburb" information was visible for all supporters directly beneath the "Background note" information. Now, the "Postcode / zip" for each supporter is also displayed directly beneath that existing "City / suburb" information.

new feature

New configuration setting to ignore NationBuilder unsubscribes & contact preferences

By default, if a supporter is unsubscribed in NationBuilder, then they will also be unsubscribed in SupporterBase.

Some organizations reported they would like to change that setting so that their supporters can unsubscribe from the organisation's contacts through NationBuilder, but remain contactable through SupporterBase.

We have now added a configuration setting to allow for this. To do so, under Settings > Configurations, admins can disable the configuration option: "Apply NationBuilder contact preferences and unsubscribes in addition to SupporterBase contact preferences and unsubscribes"

New zip code / postcode sorting option available for supporter groups

Group leaders can now sort group members by zip code/post code, to help with location-based engagement.

new feature

Admins can set default content for new group pages

It was already possible for admins and leaders to customise the content on their existing groups' public calendar pages. However, the content for new groups was blank by default. We have now also added a WYSIWYG editor admins can use to set the default content that will be used on the public calendar page for each new group created in their SupporterBase. It is still possible to update and customise that content for your groups at any point in time, but this way you have a ready-to-go default when you launch your groups.

New configuration option: enable or disable the ability of captains and vice-captains to add new supporters to their groups

If required, Admins can now restrict the ability of captains and vice-captains to add new supporters to groups. Under Settings > Configurations, admins can enable or disable the permission setting "Captains and vice-captains can add new supporters to their groups".

new feature

Allowing admins to create their own custom set of event tags for their organization

Prevously, the tags in the dropdown on the "Create new event" page were hard-coded and the same for every SupporterBase: https://demo.supporterbase.com/events/new.

We added a new feature that allows admins to create their own custom set of event tags for their organization, which leaders can select from when creating new events.

new feature

Allow filtering of supporters by city

We added a new option to the filter at the top of every supporter group, so leaders can now also filter supporters by city (in addition to Fist Name, Last Name, Last Contacted, Tag Filters, Levels of Engagement).

improvement

Process updates to supporters' tag filters without reloading the page

Previously, when Captains updated an individual supporter's tag the page refreshed, meaning Captains then needed to repeat the process of filtering supporters (for example, to show only a few supporters per page).

To solve this, we created a system to persist any filters that admins/leaders apply to the supporter listings so those remain after the page reload.

  • Captain
  • Vice-captain
