Improved pagination and layout for SMS & email inboxes

We updated the pagination and layout of the SMS and email inboxes, to both improve the user experience and avoid potential load issues where there are high numbers of incoming emails and SMS from supporters.

Improved SMS and email blast indexing

We updated the display of all email and SMS blasts within SupporterBase, to improve the experience for admins and other users with an overview of multiple groups across a SupporterBase.

We also made it simpler to navigate to the all email and SMS blasts via the top panel on each group's profile page.

Improved load speed when searching for recent contacts

We improved load times when searching based on recent contacts, which was previously experiencing some lag time where there were large numbers of supporters to filter.

Two Factor Authentication (TFA)

We now have support for Two-factor authentication (2FA)! 2FA provides an additional level of security to your SupporterBase account. Once enabled, in addition to supplying their username and password to login, users will be prompted to enter a one-time code sent to their verified phone number by SMS, via their Google Authenticator app or a QR code. 

Admins can make 2FA either "Optional" or "Required" for all users, via Settings > Configurations.

Previously admins and other point people were not able to delete actions (ie bulk emails, SMS and events) pending their approval. Now they can :)

We improved page load speed times when using the "New/Edit supporter" form, which was experiencing some lag time for organizations with large numbers of supporter tags.

Add support for Twilio to power SMS and phone calls

We have now added support for Twilio as an alternative for powering the SMS and calling features within SupporterBase. Twilio has improved international coverage, a strong reputation for service, and is currently working on a new product that would pave the way for us to integrate with WhatsApp later in the year. 

Twilio is also planning to support WhatsApp and Telegram through the Twilio Channels product they are currently developing. We don't have a timeline for this potential extension, but are tracking the Twilio updates closely and hope to be in a position to start active development when the Twilio Channels service officially launches later this year.

One of the major benefits in working with integrations to support WhatsApp and other services is that it helps in overcoming some of the limits associated with virtual numbers and programmatic SMS across countries.
